Outdoor Dual-Sided Kiosks: Essential Setup and Care Guide

SEAT, one of Germany’s most dynamic automobile brands, is transforming its retail experience through the implementation of an interactive digital signage system. With more than 400 stores nationwide, SEAT aims to enhance customer engagement, streamline dealership efficiency, and modernize its brand image using technology-driven communication.
Three flagship SEAT stores in Germany are now equipped with an advanced interactive digital signage system designed to change how customers interact with automobile information. Previously, digital signs served as static displays—showing only fixed data. The new system turns these screens into interactive tools that connect customers to web-based content, simulating the digital experiences they are accustomed to online.
Located in the waiting, service, and reception areas, these signage displays allow customers to explore models, customize vehicle configurations, and access real-time updates. Buyers can select accessories, colors, and features while instantly visualizing their preferred car model. This real-time interaction reduces decision-making hesitation and builds stronger confidence in purchase choices.

The interactive digital signage system integrates 65-inch and 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreens running on webOS 2.0, a platform built on Android technology and powered by a robust quad-core processor. Each display features 10-Watt stereo speakers, delivering not just visual impact but immersive sound to support promotional videos, product demos, and customer engagement content.
The web-integrated design allows easy updates for pricing, inventory, and promotional campaigns, ensuring that dealership staff can instantly modify information without technical complexity. This simplicity drives efficiency and minimizes workload for sales teams, making the system both a marketing asset and a productivity enhancer.

The system acts as a sales assistant—helping staff present model details, run digital simulations, and collect data insights into customer preferences. By offering personalized digital interaction, the dealers can better understand what each customer values most, improving the overall consultation quality.
Customers benefit from a richer, more interactive buying experience. They can visualize the end product, receive detailed information instantly, and explore multiple configurations without delay. This aligns perfectly with modern expectations where consumers demand both efficiency and digital connectivity in every retail touchpoint.
After successful testing in the three pilot stores, SEAT plans to deploy the interactive digital signage system across all 400 dealerships in Germany. The technology is now recognized as a strategic tool for the automotive retail industry—bridging the gap between online convenience and in-store reality.
This technological rollout demonstrates how digital signage is evolving beyond static information sharing. It ushers in a new era of interactive customer communication, where brand storytelling, engagement, and personalization merge on screen. The SEAT project illustrates the growing trend of integrating interactive digital signage systems within the automotive sector, solidifying digital transformation as a competitive advantage.
